So, you just found out that your class is going to study Shakespeare this semester.  You start to panic!  How can you read all that "Old English"?  You have heard that Shakespeare is completely boring...how will you stay awake?  Your teacher made claims that Shakespeare is the greatest playwright of the English language...now you KNOW you are doomed!  But wait.  You did love Leo and Claire in the 1996 movie of Romeo+Juliet.   You have even heard that there are a lot of bawdy jokes in Shakespeare's plays.   Maybe this won't be so bad after all!

Shakespeare 101 is a brief guide to help you get started on your study of Shakespeare's plays.  The guide is broken into the following sections:

Section 1
Reading Shakespeare's Plays
Poetry & Unusual Word Arrangements
Omissions & Unusual Words

Shakespearean Glossary

Reading Log/Journal
Sample Richard II Reading Log

Section 2
Viewing Shakespeare's Plays

Section 3
Shakespeare on the Web
