Surfing with the Bard Lesson Plans

Links for Teachers
Busy teachers don't have time to sift through the thousands of useless Shakespeare sites on the web.  This brief list contains only the best sites for teachers.  Through these sites, you will be able to find everything you need to teach Shakespeare.

Surfing with the Bard The various Surfing with the Bard Zones will help you find exactly what you need to aide in lesson planning.  You will find the following areas of the site the most useful:  Teacher Zone, Student Zone, and Play Zone.  You won't want to miss the Play Zone as it contains a list of links for the individual plays you are teaching!
Mr. William Shakespeare on the Internet Mr. William Shakespeare and the Internet is one of my favorite sites.  If you can't find it on Surfing with the Bard, you will definitely finding it on Terry Gray's amazing site!  Don't miss the Shakespeare in Education page.
Shakespeare Magazine Shakespeare Magazine is one of the best resources for Shakespeare teachers in print and on the web.  Subscribers have access to an incredible assortment of lessons on the Shakespeare Teaching Resources page.  If you haven't subscribed yet...what are you waiting for?!!!   This entire site should not be missed, but make sure you check out the Featured Articles, Teaching Resources, and Archives.
Teaching Shakespeare Institute The Folger Shakespeare Library's Teaching Shakespeare Institute (funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities) finally has its own web site!   The site includes new Lesson Plans, a Lesson Plan Archive, and a Teachers' Lounge.   You won't want to miss these lessons...they even include images from the Folger art collection!
